Base Salary

$118k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain external and internal APIs, microservices, and backend platforms using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build scalable, secure, highly available services for customer-facing products, third-party integrations, and enterprise workflows.
  • Lead microservice architecture design, including service decomposition, API contracts, event-driven patterns, observability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using containerization, orchestration, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Develop modern web applications with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based architecture, state management, routing, and API integration.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans with product, architecture, UX, and engineering teams.
  • Drive code quality, test automation, CI/CD, Agile delivery, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Own technical design decisions and mentor engineers across the team.
  • Define testing strategies covering unit, integration, API, automation, and quality-gate requirements.
  • Implement secure coding practices, remediate vulnerabilities, address penetration-test findings, and support security and regulatory compliance.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation responsibly.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, API development, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting external and internal REST APIs for customers, partners, and internal applications.
  • Strong experience building and operating microservices architectures, including communication patterns, scalability, resiliency, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience developing in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong proficiency with Angular and TypeScript, including component-based architecture, state management, routing, and API integration.
  • Experience with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS.
  • Understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, fault tolerance, and operational excellence.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices for automated build, deployment, testing, and release management.
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, Entity Framework, data access patterns, and API-centric application design.
  • Experience using Git and GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
  • Preferred experience with C++ development, customer-facing platforms, SaaS applications, developer platforms, or public API ecosystems.
  • Preferred experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, or similar messaging frameworks.
  • Preferred knowledge of API gateways, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
