Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable IAM services and APIs for identity lifecycle, access requests, entitlement and role management, and access certifications.
- Build privileged access management capabilities including credential vaulting and rotation, session control, secrets management, and just-in-time access flows.
- Model and secure non-human identities such as service accounts, agents, workloads, and machine credentials.
- Develop full-stack features with backend services and modern web front ends for self-service and administrative IAM experiences.
- Build and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, operating services through a full DevOps model.
- Integrate identity sources, directories, and downstream applications using SCIM, REST, and event-driven patterns.
- Embed separation-of-duties, least-privilege, audit, and compliance controls into the platform.
- Own features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, product, governance, and engineering teams; create documentation and runbooks; mentor junior engineers; and drive technical direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building distributed systems in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments.
- Strong backend development skills in Java, Go, and/or Python plus front-end experience with modern frameworks such as React.
- Solid IAM knowledge spanning identity governance and lifecycle, authentication, authorization, RBAC and entitlement models, privileged access management, just-in-time access, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and LDAP.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, working with JSON/XML and OpenAPI/Swagger, and integrating heterogeneous systems.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and source control such as Git and Jenkins, including secure coding and defensive programming.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, monitoring, and production ownership in high-availability environments.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI or agentic capabilities into IAM workflows, working with globally distributed teams and large enterprises, or integrating commercial IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, and Active Directory/EntraID.
