Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and validate end-to-end capabilities for Mercado Pago’s AI assistant.
- Prototype LLM- and agent-based solutions and take valuable solutions into production.
- Measure capability impact using quality, latency, cost, and other experiment metrics.
- Explore AI ecosystem tools and propose alternative solutions to open-ended problems.
- Use AI tools in daily development and investigate and solve new problems autonomously.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of distributed-systems architecture and design.
- Experience in backend development.
- Knowledge of or interest in LLMs and AI agents, including tool calls and MCP.
- Ability to learn rapidly, work beyond familiar areas, and solve new problems with autonomy and proactivity.
- Go knowledge is desirable.
