Responsibilities
- Build big-data services and pipelines using Scala and Java.
- Develop algorithms for matching, conflation, anomaly identification, and large-scale data processing.
- Improve system simplicity, scalability, efficiency, and data freshness.
- Identify and propose process automation and new functionality.
- Formulate requirements and design solutions for new capabilities.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Strong programming and software design skills.
- Deep knowledge and extensive experience with the JVM, preferably Scala.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work across multiple responsibilities and take ownership of solutions.
- Permanent residency in Sweden or a commitment to move to Sweden, preferably near Malmö.
- Preferred: experience with event streaming such as Kafka, API and REST service design and implementation, Spark, Akka, Play, big-data ETL, data streaming, NoSQL databases, and applying machine learning or AI to large datasets.
