Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and related stack components.
- Architect scalable solutions for high-volume data and transaction processing.
- Maintain and optimize existing code for platform stability and performance.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define, design, and ship features.
- Monitor production systems, resolve incidents, and implement reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to software development best practices and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software development experience with a strong emphasis on Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in database design and management, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with background processing using Sidekiq or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Heroku, AWS, or GCP and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and web application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and remote collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Redis, Bugsnag or similar error monitoring tools, and Coralogix or similar logging solutions.
- Preferred familiarity with React or Angular, ERP and e-commerce platforms, startup environments, Agile work using Jira and Confluence, and mentoring.
