Responsibilities

  • Develop secure, high-quality production code for the Azure-focused cloud provisioning platform and review and debug code written by others.
  • Contribute to product design, application functionality, and technical operations that keep the platform reliable and scalable.
  • Support migration of platform consumers by building and maintaining repeatable automation.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs.
  • Apply software development life cycle tools, frameworks, and automation practices and advocate for them across the engineering community.
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers on the use of leading-edge cloud technologies.
  • Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, collaborative, and respectful team culture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and validating their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Azure; experience with AWS or Google Cloud is also considered.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with software development practices such as Agile, Scrum, or DevOps and proficiency across the software development life cycle.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices design principles.
  • Preferred: exposure to public-cloud identity, networking, or policy controls; experience with multiple cloud platforms; Specification by Example or behavior-driven development; pairing and software teaming practices; Microsoft Azure certification.
