Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, review, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive technical decisions across product design, application functionality, and operational processes.
- Design and deliver cloud-native software solutions using Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cloud platform engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud applications.
- Advocate for enterprise frameworks, tools, software development lifecycle practices, and modern cloud technologies.
- Embed security and regulatory compliance controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Guide responsible use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and validate their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, respect, and effective engineering practices across the team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including demonstrated Golang experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with considerable depth in cloud, distributed systems, or a related discipline.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and the surrounding cloud-native ecosystem.
- Experience using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large-scale environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security practices, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- AWS Professional certification, CKAD certification, large-scale Kubernetes fleet management experience, vCluster familiarity, or a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field are preferred.
