Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based financial applications for trading, payments, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Build secure, scalable, high-performance applications and RESTful APIs integrating with external financial systems and internal microservices.
- Design and implement message-driven systems for reliable asynchronous processing in high-throughput distributed environments.
- Optimize and refactor code, conduct code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while supporting continuous service availability.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Monitor financial industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of Java development experience focused on financial applications or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of core Java, Java 8 or later, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
- Deep understanding of payments, transactions, trading, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience developing secure, scalable, and high-performance financial applications.
- Experience with message-driven systems, relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with financial protocols such as FIX and integrations with external financial data sources and APIs.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD processes.
- Extensive experience with Linux environments, system administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of trading systems and algorithmic trading platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and TeamCity.
- Preferred: experience with JavaScript and React for full-stack development.
- Preferred: familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and financial industry project management standards.
