Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Kubernetes clusters.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines and apply GitOps practices in collaboration with development teams.
- Maintain monitoring and logging solutions, including OpenTelemetry and cloud-native tooling.
- Implement security best practices covering access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
- Automate repetitive deployment and operations tasks.
- Support application stability, production quality assurance, incident analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and operations support.
- Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth application integration and operation.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering roles, ideally supporting enterprise-grade web applications.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and operating cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Experience with Terraform, CaaS architecture, microservices, REST interfaces, version control, code merging, CI/CD workflows, GitLab, automation, and GitOps.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including OpenTelemetry, particularly Lumina, and Grafana.
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Knowledge of cloud solution design patterns including microservices, messaging, containers, and IAM.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of platform security and policies, PostgreSQL database administration, and GeoServer is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, self-management, attention to detail, and results-oriented working style.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
- Interest in cloud, DevOps, GitOps, and modern engineering technologies, with a passion for continuous learning.
