Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and extend MCP server tools exposing vulnerability and security datasets to AI agents and internal consumers.
- Implement backend feature work, bug fixes, ingestion improvements, schema changes, and reliability improvements across data pipeline services.
- Build and maintain data-transfer pipelines to Google Cloud Storage and support analytics data-sharing integrations.
- Contribute to GCP-hosted services, infrastructure work, internal tooling, and operator-facing data-platform surfaces.
- Implement application-layer security remediations, configuration hardening, secrets-management patterns, secure coding practices, and least-privilege access controls.
- Participate in white-box security reviews, document findings with reproducible technical detail, and implement reviewed fixes.
- Use AI coding assistants and documentation tools while validating generated output against the actual codebase.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant work experience.
- At least one year of software engineering experience.
- Working Python or .NET/C# development skills for backend services, APIs, and data-processing logic.
- Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, ETL patterns, cloud storage or data-transfer patterns, and reading unfamiliar codebases.
- Understanding of injection vulnerabilities, input validation, and secure credential handling.
- Active or recent use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar.
- Preferred qualifications include Security+ or equivalent knowledge, OWASP awareness, SAST or secrets-scanning exposure, hands-on GCS or GCP experience, analytics-sharing experience, JWT/OAuth 2.0 familiarity, MCP exposure, CI/CD tooling, database patterns, TypeScript or frontend-framework exposure, and clear technical documentation skills.
