Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the cybersecurity risk register, including risk identification, assessment, tracking, quantification, and reporting.
- Support incident response governance, investigations, corrective actions, documentation, evidence collection, and compliance reporting.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated control monitoring and audit evidence collection processes.
- Evaluate systems, processes, projects, and technologies against applicable regulatory and security frameworks.
- Ensure infrastructure, cloud, and security control changes align with established security frameworks and CIS Benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to remediate control deficiencies and compliance gaps.
- Maintain risk assessments, control narratives, policies, procedures, audit evidence repositories, and other compliance documentation.
- Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and third-party risk management initiatives while maintaining audit readiness.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and improved operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk management, compliance, IT audit, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity risk management programs, compliance initiatives, audits, and security control assessments.
- Experience with security frameworks, governance processes, and technical controls in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of GRC administration, cybersecurity risk assessment, risk register management, security control design and monitoring, compliance framework management, and audit support.
- Knowledge of control automation, continuous compliance monitoring, audit evidence collection, third-party risk management, vendor assessments, and security incident documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical security risks to non-technical stakeholders and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and process improvement skills.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CRISC, CISA, or other relevant cybersecurity, risk, audit, or compliance certifications.
- Must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
