Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and EKS.
- Troubleshoot complex, multi-layer infrastructure problems and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Perform incident root-cause analyses and implement disaster recovery, high availability, and fault-tolerance solutions.
- Implement cloud security controls including IAM policies, VPC design, encryption, and KMS key management.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and follow CI/CD best practices.
- Support cloud vulnerability management, configuration management, and SLA-aligned patching.
- Implement observability through logging and alerting solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Splunk.
- Support PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and FFIEC compliance activities, audits, evidence collection, and risk management.
- Create technical documentation and contribute to infrastructure planning, backlog development, design, build, and production delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent qualifying experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles, including 3 or more years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS core services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM, plus strong Kubernetes and Linux knowledge.
- Hands-on Docker experience and experience delivering business-critical systems.
- Experience with Terraform, observability at scale, security and compliance controls, and mature engineering practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, secure coding, Agile, Scrum, LEAN, and DevOps practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, prioritization, customer responsiveness, and ambiguity-management skills.
- Current AWS or other cloud-based certification; experience with AppDynamics, Twistlock, Aqua Security, C#, Ruby, or Python is preferred.
- Knowledge of ACH/EFT, RTP, or FedNow and experience in FinTech, banking, or other regulated industries are preferred.
- Successful completion of a background and drug screen is required.
