Responsibilities
- Support architects and system administrators in designing, deploying, and optimizing mission-critical applications and databases on Kubernetes and other container platforms.
- Provide advanced technical assistance and escalation support to the technical support team.
- Drive joint solution development with technology partners to expand the Portworx ecosystem and improve interoperability.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor while working with sales to support adoption, usage, expansion, and long-term customer success.
- Plan, create, and deliver demonstrations, reference architectures, and best practices that communicate Portworx value in cloud-native and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Create Japanese technical content, including implementation guides, design and implementation documentation, runbooks, and proposal materials.
- Provide technical support throughout the Portworx adoption lifecycle, including implementation, system integration, performance improvement, and operational optimization.
- Deliver consistent technical assistance to Japanese enterprise customers from proof-of-concept through production operations.
- Lead technical discussions and problem resolution with customers to improve long-term success and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese proficiency, including technical writing and presentations, plus sufficient English for business operations.
- Deep knowledge of compute, storage, and container orchestration technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Practical experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, including cloud compute and storage services.
- Advanced expertise in at least one of Kubernetes, OpenShift and the Red Hat ecosystem, Rancher, KubeVirt, or distributed, cloud, block, and file storage architectures.
- Experience using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD for DevOps and automation.
- Knowledge and practical experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Senior-level technical experience involving customer engagement and the ability to lead technical escalations and product improvement activities.
- Ability to organize complex technical challenges into clear, practical proposals and collaborate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams.
- Strong ownership of customer problem-solving, relationship building, self-directed decision-making, and continued interest in cloud-native and container technologies.
