Responsibilities
- Architect public cloud environments and account vending services for multiple engineering teams using infrastructure-as-code.
- Select, implement, and propose tools for monitoring and governing cloud infrastructure in collaboration with Security and FinOps teams.
- Review, refine, and maintain codebases and deployment pipelines.
- Support engineering teams with data storage, networking, compute performance, and infrastructure issues.
- Design, configure, and handle escalations for Jira Service Management and the Atlassian Cloud organization.
- Mentor, coach, and support junior team members as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience writing code in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Shell, or a similar language.
- Experience architecting, deploying, and operating solutions and networks on AWS or GCP.
- Experience governing public cloud environments and tools such as GitHub.
- Ability to analyze requirements and design and implement solutions that automate routine tasks.
- Strong interest in platform engineering and/or SRE topics, including automation, application and platform management, performance assessment, and monitoring.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English.
- Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes and cloud-native technology experience, infrastructure-as-code experience, troubleshooting and incident management experience, SRE or Platform Engineer experience, AWS/GCP/Azure certification, data structures and algorithms knowledge, software design experience, Atlassian tool administration experience, and Japanese language ability.
