Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize mission-critical applications, including databases, in Kubernetes and other container orchestration environments using Portworx.
- Provide advanced technical escalation support to the Technical Support Engineering team.
- Lead joint solution development with technology partners to expand the Portworx ecosystem and interoperability.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and collaborate with sales teams to support customer adoption, expansion, and long-term satisfaction.
- Build and deliver demos, reference architectures, and best practices for Portworx in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Create Japanese-language deployment guides, implementation documents, operational runbooks, and customer-facing solution content.
- Support customer deployment, integration, and optimization activities throughout the Portworx adoption lifecycle.
- Provide expert technical guidance to strategic and enterprise customers in Japan.
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese proficiency with strong technical writing ability and professional-level English communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure, storage systems, and container orchestration across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, including storage and compute services.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Kubernetes, OpenShift and the Red Hat ecosystem, Rancher, KubeVirt, or distributed and cloud storage architectures.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Senior-level customer-facing experience and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and provide actionable guidance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with customers and internal engineering teams, including escalations and product improvement initiatives.
