Base Salary
$195k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain all backend services and the Backend for Frontend abstraction layer.
- Connect and maintain essential third-party services.
- Act as a resource for engineers and product managers regarding backend issues.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to optimize data visualization.
- Write and distribute clear documentation on architectural choices and processes.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Stay updated with backend development technologies and apply knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Facilitate effective communication between the development team and other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of development experience focusing on performance, scalability, and observability.
- 3 to 5 years of experience writing code in Python.
- Experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and Django.
- Previous experience with data engineering is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Python, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Dart and Flutter is preferred.
- Contributions to open source or public tech talks/blog posts are valued.
- Prior mentorship or interview experience is a plus.
