Responsibilities
- Design and build the Agent Orchestration Service for Akura.
- Integrate AI and rule-based agents with Kafka-based event flows and publish structured agent decision events.
- Build ServiceNow incident triage workflows that evaluate Guidewire events and determine incident creation, updating, routing, or no action.
- Implement context enrichment and RAG patterns using Guidewire, PostgreSQL, ServiceNow, runbooks, audit history, and observability data.
- Define structured, machine-readable, auditable agent decision payloads with required metadata and schema governance alignment.
- Implement guardrails, business rules, risk controls, human-in-the-loop approvals, and governed service execution.
- Integrate approved tool APIs for Guidewire lookup, ServiceNow operations, audit logging, notifications, runbook retrieval, and observability lookup.
- Secure and trace agent invocations, credentials, secrets, API access, inputs, decisions, and action outcomes.
- Integrate audit storage and ensure APEX UI can display event status, recommendations, outcomes, and audit trails.
- Instrument services with logs, metrics, traces, health checks, correlation IDs, and OpenTelemetry.
- Expose operational metrics including agent success rates, confidence distribution, latency, tool failures, retry and DLQ counts, and approval queue volume.
- Lead implementation of software best practices, coordinate cross-functional delivery, mentor junior team members, and support production readiness documentation.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience in AI Agents & Workflow Integration.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficiency in AI agents and workflow integration, including complex workflow design and integration.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, FastAPI, or equivalent backend technologies.
- Experience integrating AI or LLM services, AI agents, or rule-based decision engines.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservice architectures, Kafka event-driven systems, and structured event publishing.
- Experience with prompt design, context preparation, structured outputs, safe AI execution, and RAG or context-enrichment patterns.
- Understanding of JSON-based event contracts, authentication, authorization, secrets, and secure API calls.
- Experience with Amazon MSK or Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams or event processing.
- Experience with ServiceNow incident management APIs and, preferably, Guidewire Cloud or insurance operations.
- Experience with runbook automation, incident triage, root cause analysis, or operational automation.
- Experience with LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, Amazon Bedrock Agents, Azure AI Agent Service, OpenAI tool or function calling, or equivalent agent frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases or PostgreSQL and pgvector.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar observability tooling.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Docker, EKS or ECS, Terraform, or Helm.
- Strong software development lifecycle, debugging, production support, collaboration, and team leadership capabilities.
