Base Salary
$290k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the internal “build how we build” platform, an SaaS-like experience where users describe desired outcomes and the system realizes them.
- Partner with AI and infrastructure teams to integrate AI coding tools, virtualized environments, CI, AI code reviewers, evaluations, and prompt and model optimization.
- Define success metrics for the platform and iterate based on usage data and engineer feedback.
- Develop the Developer Experience stack into a productivity multiplier for engineers and product managers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with developer tools and build environments, open-source developer tooling, or low-level systems.
- Experience owning a zero-to-one product or platform, ideally with founder-like autonomy as a founder, CTO, technical lead, or staff/principal engineer on a platform or Developer Experience team.
- Passion for building elegant, maintainable tools and systems that improve engineering productivity.
- Ability to thrive in a high-trust, high-ambiguity environment without requiring extensive direction.
- Must be able to work at least four hours of overlap with team members in the Eastern Time Zone; the company is primarily hiring in North American time zones.
