Responsibilities
- Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem integration, system integration, and testing.
- Participate in software requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and software acceptance reviews.
- Research problems and develop software solutions.
- Work collaboratively on the development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in real-time mission-critical development, maintenance, or support in open/layered architecture environments.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Windows, Solaris, Linux, Solaris or other Unix scripting, integrated development environments such as Eclipse, UML, and driver-based or automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance or other required authorization.
- Experience with ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 life-cycle processes and procedures, or assemblers is preferred.
