Responsibilities
- Build and ship production features for web applications and APIs serving government customers.
- Design, document, and implement REST API endpoints with senior engineers.
- Write unit and integration tests alongside feature development.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate during sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Investigate and resolve bugs and performance issues across the technology stack.
- Explore AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent program.
- Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or Node.
- Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, and workflow automation; direct machine-learning experience is not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly about technical problems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Angular, React, Redux, Git or similar version-control tools, personal or open-source projects, strong communication skills, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
