Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within the Commodities Technology domain.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
- Develop and maintain Open Link Endur solutions and understand its workflows as a hands-on developer.
- Lead a team of developers, provide guidance to less experienced staff, and act as an escalation point.
- Collaborate with Middle Office, Front Office, peers, colleagues, managers, and multiple stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and deliver projects on time.
- Design and maintain Spring Boot microservices and versioned REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
- Review technical challenges and contribute to large-scale technology strategy and planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 5 years of overall software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with Open Link Endur.
- Mandatory experience with Open JVS, Java, and Open Components.
- Knowledge of commodities trading, including natural gas, crude, and power.
- Strong command of Java 8+ and modern language features such as Stream and Optional APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3.x, including auto-configuration, Actuator, profiles, and externalized configuration.
- Ability to design clean, versioned REST APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger standards with error handling and pagination.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, dependency management, and multi-module project structures.
- Ability to lead developers, communicate effectively, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and deliver projects on schedule.
