Base Salary
$180k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Co-lead engineering teams with an Engineering Manager by coaching, modeling, and developing team members.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Insurance stakeholders to define product-domain strategy and roadmap.
- Identify and communicate technical initiatives that improve product, system, and team effectiveness.
- Contribute code strategically during development cycles.
- Lead incident response and improve system resiliency and monitoring.
- Coordinate with Staff Engineers across the organization to establish and promote standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 3+ years leading software teams.
- Expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with Rust.
- Proven leadership of projects involving multiple teams across functional domains.
- Excellent communication skills with engineering colleagues and senior business leaders.
