Responsibilities

  • Analyze, debug, develop, and maintain customer-centric software.
  • Investigate complex support tickets, identify root causes, document findings, and implement high-quality code fixes.
  • Own software development lifecycle activities including planning, design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Optimize components for performance, scalability, robustness, and resilience.
  • Participate in R&D, proofs of concept, prototyping, code reviews, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure software products meet non-functional, operational, security, compliance, and customer satisfaction requirements.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base and support and mentor software engineers.
  • Own the technical health of the service and influence development practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams on production issues and escalations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional Java development experience, including core Java, JDK, data structures, and multithreading.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience owning the full software development lifecycle and at least 2 years supporting production or customer issues and escalations.
  • Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot, software design principles, architecture, and development best practices.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle, PostgreSQL, JMS MQ, or Artemis MQ.
  • Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills across cross-functional technology stacks.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Prior experience working with the HRP application, specifically Claims functionality; Enrollment, Billing, or Financials experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Salesforce, ticketing systems, and production support workflows.
  • Awareness or exposure to debugging ReactJS or .Net frontend applications is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.
