Responsibilities
- Design and develop migration tooling, scripts, automation frameworks, and reusable components for RunMyJobs onboarding.
- Migrate workflows, jobs, dependencies, and configurations from legacy systems into RunMyJobs.
- Identify migration bottlenecks and develop solutions for data transformation, validation, reliability, and speed.
- Partner with Migration Architects and Professional Services to support complex customer migration engagements.
- Troubleshoot migration-related production issues and resolve technical edge cases.
- Engage occasionally with customer technical teams to understand source environments and validate solutions.
- Provide feedback to Product and Core Engineering teams to improve RunMyJobs migration capabilities.
- Write maintainable, documented code and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.
- Contribute to CI/CD improvements, architectural discussions, and automation best practices.
- Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of practical experience.
- 8+ years of overall professional experience.
- Strong professional experience with Java 11/17+ and backend services, APIs, and automation tooling.
- Experience with AI-driven automation use cases.
- Experience with XML, JSON, Jackson, and Lombok.
- Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with scripting and automation such as Shell scripting and Gradle.
- Familiarity with Docker and strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
- Experience with automated testing using JUnit, AssertJ, and Mockito.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, delivery, product, professional services, and customer teams.
- Preferred experience migrating enterprise systems or schedulers to modern SaaS platforms.
- Preferred background in automation, workload scheduling, or ERP environments.
- Preferred SAP knowledge, including ABAP and HANA.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI pipelines.
- Preferred experience in customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering roles.
