Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and optimize custom business applications using Power Apps, including Canvas, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages/Portals.
- Build automated Power Automate workflows using premium connectors, advanced expressions, concurrency control, and robust error handling.
- Develop solutions using Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and standard or premium connectors.
- Lead the application development lifecycle from requirements gathering and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Build custom connectors and integrate REST APIs, third-party systems, Dynamics 365, Outlook, and other Microsoft services.
- Implement API policies, throttling strategies, secure authentication, webhooks, Service Bus integrations, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop reusable components with the Power Apps Component Framework and customize model-driven apps using Power Fx, Liquid templates, and JavaScript.
- Apply ALM practices involving solution layering, managed and unmanaged solutions, and environment strategies.
- Configure and maintain Git and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automated solution deployment.
- Establish governance frameworks, including DLP policies and environment management strategies.
- Run requirements workshops, document functional and technical specifications, lead solution demonstrations, support UAT, and conduct end-user training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end application development.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Strong expertise in Dataverse, APIs, SQL, and data integration.
- At least 2–3 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, authentication methods, system integration, Microsoft 365, and Azure integration boundaries.
- Proficiency in English; French is an asset.
- Microsoft PL-400 Power Platform Developer certification is advantageous.
- Understanding of project management principles and methodologies and natural resources construction projects.
