Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve Monzo’s native Android application.
  • Create polished user experiences while balancing speed, resilience, and thorough testing.
  • Work in an autonomous product squad with engineers, researchers, designers, product managers, QA testers, and data scientists.
  • Influence what the team builds and how it builds it in pursuit of overall company goals.
  • Write unit, Compose screen, snapshot, and Espresso flow tests.
  • Participate in Android discipline discussions and improve shared tools, techniques, code, and processes.

Requirements

  • Experience programming in Kotlin.
  • Experience shipping and iterating on at least one app in the Google Play Store.
  • A product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to turn excellent design into polished products.
  • Comfort working in an ambiguous team environment.
  • Understanding of computer science principles.
