Responsibilities
- Build elegant, idiomatic, resilient Go SDKs for Braintrust’s LLM evaluation and AI observability platform.
- Optimize libraries for usability, runtime efficiency, performance, and developer experience.
- Integrate SDKs with AI providers, frameworks, and platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
- Build testing, profiling, and release automation tools.
- Own the full SDK lifecycle, including design, implementation, releases, documentation, and community support.
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and product teams to deliver a cohesive developer experience.
- Engage with users, understand their issues, and help drive fixes and contributions through the open-source community.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Go and experience building fast, idiomatic, reliable libraries.
- Proficiency with tooling for robust SDK development, including testing frameworks, profilers, CI/CD pipelines, and packaging systems.
- Strong focus on developer experience, including clean APIs, clear documentation, thoughtful error handling, and backward compatibility.
- Experience wrapping, patching, or extending existing frameworks and SDKs to add observability and control without disrupting developer workflows.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to production-grade open-source libraries used across multiple environments.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or tools in the LLM/AI ecosystem is a bonus.
- Experience contributing to popular open-source projects or leading SDK adoption is a bonus.
