Base Salary
$89k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AI agents and tools to build, test, and deploy software across the software development lifecycle.
- Experiment with prompt engineering and share effective AI tool usage with the team.
- Design and develop software features and system components while contributing technical input to estimates and product discussions.
- Implement unit and system tests, follow secure coding practices, and participate in code reviews.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing and new application features.
- Use logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts to monitor system health, diagnose issues, and validate production changes.
- Document processes and best practices, communicate status and risks to stakeholders, and drive assigned work to completion with minimal oversight.
- Deliver maintainable, testable, performant working software each sprint while identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with up to two years of experience or 14 years of related experience.
- Consistent and effective use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor across the software development lifecycle.
- Working proficiency across the supported full stack, such as Java and Spring Boot, React, and SQL or relational data modeling, with depth in at least one layer.
- Experience with Git workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative development practices.
- Working knowledge of logging, metrics, and monitoring tools such as New Relic, dashboards, and alerts.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex issues with limited guidance and explain technical tradeoffs and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Spec Driven Development experience is a plus.
