Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, and develop solutions that improve and innovate the Qualys technology platform.
- Develop cloud-native solutions across public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance microservice-based applications.
- Produce high-quality software using scalable architectures and design principles.
- Write unit and integration tests, and document code, designs, and solutions.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot or microservices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, programming, and software-design skills.
- Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Professional experience with indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, application design, and microservices-oriented architecture.
- Preferred: hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Preferred: bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
- Preferred: professional experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with stream-processing technologies such as Apache Kafka.
