Base Salary
$188k - $317k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve data center network availability and efficiency through software development.
- Develop network monitoring infrastructure and optimize data collection, processing, and visualization pipelines.
- Create software-defined networking control systems to automate network resource scheduling and management.
- Develop network troubleshooting and mitigation tools to reduce incident response time and improve availability.
- Build network emulation platforms and verification tools to improve the safety of network operations.
- Collaborate with network operations and maintenance teams on troubleshooting and resource deployment optimization for compute, storage, and other infrastructure services.
Requirements
- Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Networking, or a related field plus 1 year of related work experience; or a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in one of those fields plus 3 years of related work experience.
- At least 1 year of experience writing testable and maintainable software with Golang, Java, Python, or C++.
- At least 1 year of experience using ping, netstat, tcpdump, and ifconfig to troubleshoot network issues.
- At least 1 year of experience debugging and troubleshooting networks, setting up test beds and test features, and resolving network issues.
- At least 1 year of experience using Unix or Linux operating systems.
- At least 1 year of experience preparing technical documentation, including technical initiatives, design proposals, or conference or journal papers.
