Responsibilities
- Support infrastructure used by development teams to own and operate their Mozilla services.
- Build and maintain standardized, scalable systems for CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes optimization, environment bootstrapping, and cloud cost optimization.
- Guide technical decisions, platform adoption, and user-centric solutions.
- Create Claude skills and agentic workflows to improve developer productivity.
- Guide team members, promote maintainable engineering standards, and facilitate cross-functional platform delivery.
- Write proposals and decision briefs and create platform features with meaningful value propositions.
- Resolve unclear but urgent technical tasks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with expertise in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
- Proven technical leadership experience.
- Expertise in several of ArgoCD, Grafana, Kubernetes, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, and cloud cost optimization.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies, preferably GCP or alternatively AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to align technology with user needs and organizational goals.
- Bonus qualifications include distributed systems architecture, cloud security and governance, agentic workflows, database expertise, and Internal Developer Platform experience.
