Base Salary
$186k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking.
- Build and maintain self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing teams to embed security, compliance, and reliability guardrails.
- Drive infrastructure standardization across Coinbase’s multi-cloud environment.
- Lead technical investigations and operational improvements across infrastructure boundaries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with VPCs, transit gateways, DNS, load balancers, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go or Python for platform tooling and automation.
- Ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives across multiple infrastructure domains.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
