Responsibilities
- Design flexible, scalable, and distributed real-time systems.
- Develop, deploy, document, and support services for Amazon’s Home Services platform.
- Own systems end to end and contribute to architecture, reliability, and scaling decisions.
- Participate in coding, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Apply data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming to complex large-scale computing problems.
- Handle customers and resolve conflicts with a focus on customer experience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with NoSQL databases or SQL Server/MySQL.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: customer-handling and conflict-resolution experience focused on quality customer experience.
