Responsibilities
- Join the Observability team to ensure engineers have the tools and data needed for application health monitoring.
- Own and evolve Webflow's observability stack, including OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
- Debug and fix production behavior in the Webflow application using TypeScript, Node, or Go.
- Drive adoption of SLOs, distributed tracing, and structured logging across engineering.
- Build and maintain AI-powered agents for faster insights and incident resolution.
- Guide engineers on effective service instrumentation and confident feature deployment.
- Participate in and improve on-call and incident response processes.
- Automate common observability workflows to minimize interruptions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance observability practices.
- Help define the culture of the growing Observability team.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree or relevant experience.
- Business-level fluency in English.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems in a customer-facing environment.
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar instrumentation frameworks.
- Experience defining and operationalizing SLOs/SLIs at scale.
- Experience with multi-tier cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with container-centric architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and databases.
