Responsibilities

  • Join the Observability team to ensure engineers have the tools and data needed for application health monitoring.
  • Own and evolve Webflow's observability stack, including OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
  • Debug and fix production behavior in the Webflow application using TypeScript, Node, or Go.
  • Drive adoption of SLOs, distributed tracing, and structured logging across engineering.
  • Build and maintain AI-powered agents for faster insights and incident resolution.
  • Guide engineers on effective service instrumentation and confident feature deployment.
  • Participate in and improve on-call and incident response processes.
  • Automate common observability workflows to minimize interruptions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance observability practices.
  • Help define the culture of the growing Observability team.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or relevant experience.
  • Business-level fluency in English.
  • 5+ years of experience with distributed systems in a customer-facing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar instrumentation frameworks.
  • Experience defining and operationalizing SLOs/SLIs at scale.
  • Experience with multi-tier cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with container-centric architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Experience with full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and databases.
