Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, test, document, and support enterprise-grade cloud applications and services using Python and cloud SDKs.
  • Build full-stack services, APIs, and user interfaces with Python frameworks and modern frontend technologies.
  • Create cloud automation and platform capabilities using Azure and AWS SDKs, event-driven designs, serverless functions, and service APIs.
  • Author Terraform modules, infrastructure-as-code capabilities, and CI/CD pipelines for repeatable deployments and environments.
  • Design scalable, resilient, observable, and high-performing systems using caching, asynchronous I/O, connection pooling, resource tuning, and graceful degradation.
  • Apply secure SDLC practices including threat modeling, secure coding, secret management, dependency hygiene, code reviews, and compliance alignment.
  • Implement automated unit, integration, performance, and security testing and improve engineering quality practices.
  • Design REST and GraphQL APIs and relational or NoSQL data models with pagination, filtering, and rate limiting.
  • Contribute to architecture, design patterns, technical standards, C4 diagrams, specifications, and knowledge-base documentation.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies, pilots, proofs of concept, GenAI tools, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Mentor software developers, guide complex technical problem-solving, remove project roadblocks, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting, conduct peer reviews, report initiative status to stakeholders and leadership, and support production bug fixes and operations.
  • Lead responsible AI adoption, validation standards for AI-generated code, and agentic workflow design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced or professional technical certificate in Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes.
  • At least 6 years of enterprise software development and cloud development experience.
  • Experience with FastAPI or Django, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures such as SNS/SQS and Azure Service Bus, streaming technologies such as Kafka and Kinesis, and pub/sub patterns.
  • Familiarity with APM tools, SLO/SLA design, and capacity and performance testing at scale.
  • Experience with AI/ML services such as Azure OpenAI and safe LLM integration patterns.
  • Experience contributing to shared Terraform modules and internal design standards.
  • Experience with automated deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with release management, product rollouts, service operationalization, cloud resiliency patterns, and SDLC practices.
  • Production-grade programming experience with cloud SDKs and APIs in at least one of Python, Java, NodeJS, or Ruby.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate AI tools, validate AI-generated code, lead responsible AI initiatives, and design agentic workflows.
  • Broad technical experience sufficient to advise management, communicate difficult concepts, influence stakeholders, and identify product improvements.
  • Strong English communication, presentation, prioritization, organization, problem-solving, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel and extra time as needed.
