Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve secure, resilient, scalable Databricks and Azure data and analytics platforms.
- Provide technical leadership for Databricks workspace design, cluster strategy, data storage architecture, security controls, environment management, and platform engineering practices.
- Perform monitoring, capacity planning, cost optimization, performance tuning, incident management, and root cause analysis across development, test, and production environments.
- Lead platform governance and security controls including access management, Entra ID integration, RBAC, network isolation, private connectivity, auditability, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide ongoing platform support, resolve complex technical issues, improve reliability, establish operational standards, and enable knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in platform engineering or a related area.
- Deep expertise across Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure networking, identity management, and cloud security patterns.
- Experience with Databricks platform architecture, workspace and cluster design, data storage, security controls, environment management, and platform operations.
- Experience with monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform resilience.
- Experience implementing access management, Entra ID integration, RBAC, network isolation, private connectivity, auditability, data protection, and compliance controls.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and work alongside engineering teams to resolve complex platform issues and establish sustainable operational standards.
