Responsibilities
- Lead one or more Scrum teams as a hands-on engineer and guide technical direction.
- Architect and build scalable, containerized Java Spring Boot services and contribute directly to feature implementation.
- Design and implement high-performance APIs and integrations with enterprise control systems.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers on React and Angular micro-frontend applications.
- Own features end to end from architectural design and technical specifications through implementation and deployment.
- Pilot and integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve development velocity and code quality.
- Mentor engineers on software design, containerization, and modern development workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with a track record of building robust backend systems.
- Mandatory experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience leading technical projects or serving as a technical lead for a development team.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, microservice design patterns, and RESTful API development.
- Interest in or experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and advanced code analyzers.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with React or Angular is preferred, and financial-services or other large, complex global-environment experience is highly desirable.
- Master’s degree and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks are preferred.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are required.
