Base Salary

$124k - $329k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver CodeQL-powered analysis across GitHub.com and GHES production environments.
  • Own published artifacts and deployed services while providing production operations and incident response.
  • Build and operate internal CI pipelines, development platforms, release tooling, and offline evaluation systems for CodeQL and AI engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and technical writing teams to influence product direction and deliver reliable, high-quality user features.
  • Engage with enterprise customers and the open-source community to help users succeed with code scanning products.
  • Improve organizational culture, processes, quality, reliability, and user experience.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering or related technical experience with production software development, or the stated associate, bachelor's, master's, doctorate, or equivalent-experience alternatives.
  • Production software development experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
  • 3+ years of experience in software security, DevOps, CI solutions, orchestration and automation, software supply chain security, developer tools, software lifecycle automation, or machine learning and AI applied to source code.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in two or more focus areas, DevOps or DevEx engineering experience, and experience designing and operating software lifecycle management and developer productivity tools.

  • Base salary range of $124,000.00-$329,200.00 per year, with eligible roles offering benefits, annual bonus, stock, and certain sales incentives.
