Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end SRE ownership for the Global Fabric service, including reliability, performance, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Own incidents from detection through resolution, serve as the primary operational escalation point, and participate in an on-call rota.
- Manage incidents in ServiceNow, track defects and improvements in Jira, and perform root cause analysis with preventative follow-up actions.
- Design, implement, operate, and improve observability and monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
- Drive automation through Ansible, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices.
- Define and report service health metrics, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and operational dashboards.
- Fulfil operational service requests, support customer onboarding and operational readiness, and identify reliability and optimization opportunities through platform, network, and service trend analysis.
Requirements
- Experience supporting large-scale, high-availability services in an ISP, NaaS, or network-centric environment.
- Experience delivering changes through CI/CD and GitOps processes, including release validation, deployment governance, monitoring verification, and rollback planning.
- Experience operating customer-facing applications, APIs, and distributed services with a focus on reliability, availability, performance, and customer experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end customer fulfilment journeys across user interfaces, APIs, middleware, event platforms, and downstream systems.
- Strong observability skills, including journey-based monitoring and synthetic checks.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka concepts including message delivery, lag monitoring, loss detection, replay, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of incident and problem management in ServiceNow and delivery tracking in Jira.
