Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud contact center infrastructure and application components on AWS and Amazon Connect.
- Build backend and frontend services, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and contact center workflows using technologies such as Python and Terraform.
- Provision and manage cloud resources with infrastructure as code and automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
- Migrate and deploy applications to AWS ECS, EKS, Fargate, Kubernetes, and Docker environments.
- Implement authentication, authorization, data and media streaming, and system integration patterns.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues while performing root-cause analysis and driving durable reliability fixes.
- Improve system resiliency, performance, operational reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Create design documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures, and conduct peer code reviews.
- Lead responsible adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering tools, including validation for correctness, performance, security, and sensitive-data handling.
- Partner with product, application, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams to define requirements, priorities, and delivery plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field plus seven years of relevant experience.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining production-grade full-stack applications or services in large-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proficiency with AWS services and resilient cloud platform patterns, including production Terraform experience.
- Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines, using Git, and deploying with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with Spring Boot, MVC, API and service integrations, and React-based user interfaces.
- Experience leading the effective and responsible use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs.
- Understanding of secure handling of sensitive data and resiliency and security expectations in AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB, including SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with distributed databases, large datasets, monitoring and operating cloud services, incident response, root-cause analysis, and high-availability systems.
- AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Experience with Amazon Connect or other cloud contact center platforms is preferred.
- Experience with telephony, real-time communications, WebRTC, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, React, Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, or Dynatrace is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions and knowledge sharing, are preferred.
