Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions across Agile teams.
- Build secure, fault-tolerant, cloud-based services and platforms for Toyota Financial Services.
- Develop scalable REST microservices APIs, Kubernetes-based microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Use JavaScript, Python, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, SQL, AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Build observable distributed systems, monitor service performance, trace issues, and troubleshoot failures.
- Collaborate with product owners, conduct peer and code reviews, and promote code quality and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineering team members, participate in recruiting efforts, and contribute to technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or information technology.
- At least 5 years of technical experience.
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, or Python, with experience developing on AWS.
- Experience delivering Kubernetes-based microservices on AWS in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment.
- Experience with test-driven development, object-oriented design, responsive web application testing, design patterns, coding standards, version control, branching, merging, and code reviews.
- Strong proficiency developing scalable and resilient REST microservices APIs.
- Experience building observable systems for distributed-service monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Preferred: familiarity with SOX, PCI-DSS, or GDPR; experience with AI coding assistants; or relevant AWS certifications.
