Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient software systems using Java or Python.
- Execute software design, development, technical troubleshooting, and production-code maintenance.
- Create secure, high-quality code and maintain algorithms that integrate with related systems.
- Contribute to application architecture and design artifacts while ensuring implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets and create visualizations and reporting to improve software applications and systems.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, and validate their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and support an inclusive, respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and React.
- Experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Git, Jira, and modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and application resiliency and security practices.
- Ability to use and critically evaluate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and engineering security and resiliency expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, AWS, and MongoDB.
