Responsibilities
- Lead application systems analysis and programming activities for new or revised systems.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact problems through analysis of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Design applications according to the overall architecture blueprint and establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Build high-scale, performant software platforms for data computation and processing using Python.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, including allocating work.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, policies, and controls.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience with systems analysis and software application programming.
- Expert-level knowledge of core Python concepts, pandas, NumPy, SciPy, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
- Highly experienced with Unix-based operating systems and writing SQL queries.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket and Git.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Experience in banking domains such as pricing or risk is preferred.
- CFA or FRM certification is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
