Base Salary
$140k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, scalable software for store-selling products.
- Create reusable foundational code, architectural diagrams, API specifications, and product documentation.
- Automate infrastructure, monitoring services, test cases, and destructive testing through custom code or scripts.
- Build dashboards, logging, alerting, and response capabilities for proactive issue management.
- Define and monitor service-level objectives and support production reliability and prioritization.
- Provide application support, investigate performance and capacity, and triage high-priority issues and outages.
- Collaborate with product teams, UX, product management, vendors, support teams, and the open-source community.
- Identify and remediate unsecured code areas and contribute technical solutions across the organization.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead learning activities around modern software design and development.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a job-related field.
- Mastery of a modern programming language, preferably Java.
- Mastery of a modern web application framework such as Spring MVC or Quarkus.
- Experience with data engineering at scale and data modeling in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in microservice architectures, version control with Git, Linux or Unix environments, CI/CD toolchains, cloud computing platforms, destructive testing, and production systems design.
- Proficiency in high availability, disaster recovery, performance, efficiency, security, defensive coding, design patterns, test-driven development, unit testing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with 12-factor methodology and designing and implementing RESTful web services.
- Legal permission to work in the United States and minimum age of 18.

- Pay range is $140,000.00-$240,000.00.
