Responsibilities
- Define and document the architecture of the software stack.
- Ensure a coherent end-to-end architecture across software domains.
- Communicate software architecture, components, interfaces, and principles to engineering teams.
- Maintain the architecture as the product evolves and proactively communicate changes.
- Assess the architectural impact of new technologies and stay informed about ML and software ecosystem developments.
- Consider usability, performance, reliability, maintainability, testability, security, and observability constraints.
- Prototype and validate architectural concepts through proof-of-concept implementations.
- Contribute to future and related product definitions and communicate their architectural implications.
- Collaborate with hardware and silicon architects to meet software stack and product requirements.
- Work with engineering, product, leadership, and partners to align business goals and architectural direction.
Requirements
- Expertise in one or more of firmware, drivers, ML frameworks such as PyTorch and Triton, collectives, HPC, tooling, C, C++, or CPU architectures.
- Technical expertise in the ML accelerator software space.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to influence others.
- Pragmatic, trade-off-aware approach to decision-making.
- Previous architecture experience is desirable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
