Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own fundamental cloud services and tooling, including cloud networks, security policies, and low-level cloud services
- Administer Kubernetes clusters and own the application platform for engineering teams
- Architect cloud platform features and improve the security and reliability of applications
- Support a wide variety of production applications and address technical debt
- Own developer experience by advising engineers on platform usage, deployment best practices, and internal tooling
- Administer CI/CD systems and other internal tools
- Guide and support other engineers while solving organization-wide engineering problems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Proficiency with at least one high-level programming language, such as Python or Go
- Strong understanding of networking, containers, security, and scalability
- Strong Kubernetes fundamentals and experience with Helm or similar ecosystem tools
- Strong infrastructure as code skills, especially Terraform
- Broad experience with cloud services from a major cloud provider, particularly AWS
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog
- Experience writing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation to resolve urgent issues
- Nice-to-have experience with Vault, Sealed Secrets, Consul, Prometheus, Snowflake, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, or regulatory compliance including HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
