Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Workspace ONE Launcher features for Android platforms.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using modern Android development practices.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex customer-reported issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, Workspace ONE UEM, and platform teams on product enhancements and integrations.
  • Optimize application performance, stability, security, and reliability.
  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to architectural improvements, technical leadership initiatives, and engineering productivity.
  • Evaluate AI-generated code for security, performance, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong Android application development experience using Java and Kotlin.
  • Deep understanding of Android framework components, activities, services, broadcasts, and device administration concepts.
  • Experience with Android Enterprise, kiosk mode, device management, or enterprise mobility solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean coding principles.
  • Experience debugging complex issues with Android Studio, Logcat, ADB, and profiling tools.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and mobile application security concepts.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience with EMM/UEM solutions, Android Enterprise APIs, Managed Configurations, OEM-specific integrations, launcher or system-level Android applications, and cloud-based management platforms or SaaS products.
  • Preferred familiarity with Espresso, JUnit, Robolectric, and Mockito.
  • Experience or interest in using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar AI-assisted development tools, including prompt engineering, LLMs, responsible AI usage, and AI-generated code evaluation.
