Responsibilities
- Build, ship, modernize, and own enterprise mobile applications across iOS, Android, shared components, and integration layers.
- Design and evolve mobile architecture, shared components, design systems, offline capabilities, authentication flows, telemetry, and release infrastructure.
- Lead assigned technical workstreams from discovery and solution design through delivery planning, launch readiness, release coordination, and post-launch improvement.
- Implement mobile integrations with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, identity providers, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, event-driven workflows, and mobile backend services.
- Develop intelligent mobile experiences using LLMs, AI services, on-device intelligence, contextual assistance, automation, and personalization where appropriate.
- Apply AI-assisted tools and workflows for design, coding, refactoring, test generation, debugging, documentation, code review, and release readiness.
- Optimize applications for performance, memory, battery life, network efficiency, offline behavior, accessibility, localization, reliability, and security.
- Support mobile CI/CD, automated testing, build signing, release automation, observability, crash reporting, incident response, and App Store and Google Play releases.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, risk mitigation, dependency coordination, and cross-team alignment for mobile initiatives.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, architecture discussions, implementation support, and guidance on modern mobile practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including significant hands-on mobile engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience delivering complex mobile applications, mobile features, or mobile platform capabilities and modernizing legacy mobile systems.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping both iOS and Android applications, including cross-platform mobile development.
- Strong proficiency with Swift and iOS development, including platform conventions, app lifecycle, concurrency, networking, persistence, testing, and App Store releases.
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin and Android development, including Android architecture, Jetpack, coroutines, networking, persistence, testing, and Google Play releases.
- Experience with cross-platform technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, .NET MAUI, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience with mobile architecture patterns including MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, modular architecture, dependency injection, and design-system integration.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, identity providers, telemetry, crash reporting, analytics, feature flags, and remote configuration.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled engineering workflows, plus working knowledge of LLM-powered product experiences, prompt-driven workflows, structured outputs, validation, and responsible AI guardrails.
- Strong understanding of mobile security, secure storage, authentication, authorization, privacy, encryption, certificate pinning, OWASP Mobile risks, and compliance-aware engineering.
- Strong experience with unit, UI automation, integration, contract, snapshot, and regression testing for mobile applications.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, build automation, signing, provisioning, release tracks, app store submission, observability, and production monitoring.
- Comfort working with cloud environments and backend integration patterns across AWS and/or Azure.
- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows, plus strong understanding of production-quality code, performance tuning, reliability, accessibility, and user-centered mobile design.
- History of hands-on technical leadership, mentoring, cross-functional coordination, technical risk management, and delivery ownership.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with shared mobile libraries, SDKs, design systems, offline-first applications, synchronization, conflict resolution, mobile observability, regulated applications, event streaming, messaging, real-time workflows, and Agile/Scrum environments.
