Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub features for Android platforms.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Write scalable, maintainable Android code and optimize application performance, stability, security, and reliability.
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, Workspace ONE UEM, and platform teams.
- Review code, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Create technical documentation, design documents, and troubleshooting guides.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Contribute to feature delivery, architectural improvements, technical leadership initiatives, and product integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong Android application development experience using Java and Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of Android framework components, activities, services, broadcasts, and device administration concepts.
- Experience with Android Enterprise, kiosk mode, device management, enterprise mobility, MDM, or EMM/UEM solutions.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, clean coding principles, and mobile application security.
- Experience debugging with Android Studio, Logcat, ADB, and profiling tools.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Android Enterprise APIs, Managed Configurations, OEM-specific integrations, automated testing frameworks, cloud-based management platforms, SaaS products, and architectural improvements.
- Preferred experience using AI-assisted development tools and understanding LLMs, prompt engineering, responsible AI, and evaluation of AI-generated code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and mentoring skills.
