Responsibilities
- Create high-level documentation and develop software requirements for an embedded platform.
- Design, develop, and integrate embedded C/C++ software platforms for next-generation ADAS systems.
- Architect over-the-air software updates for continuous improvement of vehicle features.
- Use modular component-based design, standard C libraries, embedded design patterns, and Classic AUTOSAR features.
- Debug complex cross-functional defects and drive issues to closure.
- Apply functional-safety principles and coding-quality practices, including static analysis, code coverage, and code reviews.
- Support real-world ADAS feature testing with systems-testing and vehicle-testing teams.
- Flash, validate, and debug software in bench and HIL setups and in prototype and pre-production vehicles.
- Provide technical leadership in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software-architecture experience using C++ and/or C.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and testing systems for high-performance, high-reliability computing applications.
- Familiarity with the Classic AUTOSAR stack.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: master's degree in a related engineering or computer-science field.
- Preferred: 8+ years of ADAS/autonomy software-architecture experience.
- Preferred: expertise in middleware design, boot-chain constructs, software design patterns, efficient data structures, and multithreaded system design.
- Preferred: understanding of CAN-FD, TCP/IP, UDP, SPI, SOME/IP, and SOA communication protocols; POSIX; ISO 26262; and security and safety in embedded systems.
